June 4, 2023 The Yellow Line BTS (Skytrain) has started its operation. I saw locals trying it out and having fun, so I decided to give it a try as well. However, I know what I’d like to see. I didn’t have much time, so I couldn’t explore the footpath below Hua Mak Station extensively. Based on my observation, “We have excellent footpaths that are convenient, safe, and of high standards!” — #BangkokActNOW

March 15, 2022 One of the impressive things worth sharing with everyone is the lift standards. They are beautiful, spacious, and what’s more, we can see the rows of buttons arranged horizontally in a single line.

5 July 2021 The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities(DEP), led by Director-General, Professor Siriluck S (Architecture, Lat Krabang University), and the “Accessibility Is Freedom” team, we went to observe the construction and management of facilities at the Fashion Island mall on Ramintra Road, and also presented an award to them for being a good mall role model, with the Building Manager – Khun Apisit K and his team welcoming us.

I do always use BTS or MRT for my daily commute. Today, I arrived at MRT Phetchaburi station in the morning. I went to the ticket counter and before I got into the gate, the security asked me to write down my personal record before enter to the gate. I told the security to do it for me and he actually wrote them then I handed my disability identification card.

Not long before you all may have seen a post from us urging of priority parking space that had been trespassed by rental shops in PTT Pongnamron gas station. Shortly after the post was published, the owner has contacted me to apologized and shown her willing to fix the issue.

Had heard from the BTS executives that wheelchair ramp is now available at every BTS station. It is the first time in quite a while that I have taken a BTS. Today, I took the ride from Sukumvit > Siam > Surasak station and I am soo o oooo impressed. The service is well executed. The heads of each station even come to supervise the process.

Our body is susceptible to change. Nothing guarantees that your health today will stay the same tomorrow. ‘Tomorrow you may become a wheelchair user like me’. Imagine yourself in a wheelchair and come across a difference in floor height of just under two inches. I am sure that would cause you trouble.

We had strolled around the recently opened Wat Phra Sri Mahathat BTS station and found several problems that should be addressed. There are still a revamping and repairing of the footpath on both side of the Buddhavijjalaya College and the pink line monorail which is still under the construction, this what we saw:
