Accessible Trip the trip for all I headed to Japan to search for new things as well as gather the insights for making comparison in all dimensions. I set very high goal for this trip as I planned ahead almost one year. I am confident that the inputs collected will be highly beneficial for our further development. I want to walk you through some of my stories about this trip.

I went around Fuji Mt, arrived at the small village far a way for the main city. But I still see the buses with wheelchair sign. This is the one of an amazing 2017 Japan trip for me.

I heard that our government is now supporting the electric powered car. It was the first raining night in Osaka, then I found this precious supers car was charging the the parking station. I was suddenly dream of, Bangkok road full fill with a lot of electric powered cars. No more smoke, fresh air, less engine sound and we don’t need any fossil power any more.

The secret walk wayFrom the bad news, inspired me to do this video. Everyone got choices on their own wished, but not for PWDs. We got no right to get access to the basic facilities easily, and we have no even right to be ..fear ..of anything. Check out the ‘Face on, the secret walk way… (Video with English closed caption)’

It all began when the students contacted me via this FB Page and asked some information and insight for conducting their university project, assigned by their lecturer. Fortunately, the lecturer was already part of our Transportations for All (T4A) community. When we got to know what was going on, the coordination went beyond smoothly. Personally, I always give priority for educational purpose. When some educational institutions contacted me to give a talk to their students, I would accept it most of the time. Anyway, before I jump into it, I would screen whether the students showed their motivation for learning, …

[Japan metro train test] Japan Metro Train Survey Since last year, on our private trip purposely to test all accessibility including services. What I have learned, the Japan transportation system designed based on the capacity of people in the small city. If you go there within a peak time, you will never be believed how many people are traveling.

The motorcycle runs over the footpath we see on every single day. We feel nothing, they’re all doing this all over our city. No need the road they use the footpath as a shortcut. All everybody is having trouble while we’re walking and wheeling. No one will but ours, to make the better city. Do you feel any shame ??

BTSSince its operation, wheelchair elevators have been installed only in a few stations. There are much more left to complete. Anyway, this is not the main topic today because I’m highlighting on its design layout which appears to be go-through functionality. Passenger from the basement can get into it and go directly through the platform floor without having to buy a train ticket.

The BTS first 4 ElevatorsAfter opening ceremony with Governor of Bangkok and his team, I went to test this brand-new BTS’s elevator. Accidentally, I met a foreign family with a baby in stroller at the platform floor so we had some conversation then. I told them that today was the first day for the lift’s operation. They were so friendly and I didn’t forget to take a picture with them. Their smiles were beautiful and I wanted to share it with all of you.
