Responsibility

A Feedback Letter from Lactasoy has been arrived! Thank You!

We previously issued an open letter to Lactasoy in regard to the misuse of priority parking by one of its driver. And in just a matter of hours, Lactasoy promptly replied us with a very clear and precise argument. I have attached the file so you can review it. In a nutshell it states that “On behalf of the company, the incident is utterly unacceptable and is considered a serious lack of responsibility, conducted by a personal judgment. The company has examined the involved driver and decided to make a punishment, and put the driver on probation. Nevertheless, the company …

If only they pay more attention, and park more nicely…

I was waiting there patiently until the car owner’s back. I greeted her and asked politely, “Mam, you park your car on top of the line, making it harder for PWDs getting in and off.” She’s still a decent lady, her hands were up to pay respect to me and apologized for what she did. Many of our social problems begin by an act of ignorance and neglecting tiny, yet impactful, things like this. It gradually spoils this careless behavior until it inflicts as part of our culture. Thus, this initially-tiny social problem expands to become a national issue. I …

6 Years ago, before I jumped-on fighting for the accessible parking and accessible facilities issue

The parking and accessible facilities in Thailand has defined in the law since 14 years ago. In the picture my car (BMW 3539) was parked on the right at Central Bang-na department store and there were many car parking in the accessible parking space and can’t be verified and we were seeing this happening all around in our country. Two years later, I published my first video clip and working on this issue and have been working on up until now. Now, we can be said in Thailand ‘mostly all public places’ have been fixing all their accessible facilities very …

Wait on the side while you’re waiting for the lift

Days ago I went to Suvarnabhumi airport. I was about to take a lift to go down stair, and found a group of foreign tourists waiting in front of the lift. I was behind them and say loudly that “Excuse me, you guys are waiting right in front of the lift door, how could passengers get off?” The ladies suddenly seemed a bit nervous. One of them began to walk away, taking an escalator instead. Then soon all of them followed the first one. Please pardon me but I didn’t mean to expel or blame you. Just simply step aside …

A moment when a security expels customers out of the elevator

This incident was a story while I was travelling in Japan at the beginning of this year. It took place at Bic Camera, Namba Store in Osaka. Bic Camera is a leading consumer electronics retailer chain in Japan. The store was extremely crowded at the day. Most of them were seemingly foreign visitors. I was waiting for an elevator for so long to go to the upper floor. Due to the crowd, every time the lift opened, it was packed with tons of customers that I wasn’t able to get in it. Believe it or not, I had been waiting …

The Priority Parking survey at Central Bangna, I feel worry

I came across here since I got a business discussion with my friend. I couldn’t help but went observing its priority parking down there at 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floor of the mall. The result was that only the 4th-floor one was left for the parking. It seemed there was a high demand on this type of parking. I always saw those ineligible people who were indeed unnecessary to park on this spot but insisted to do so: pregnant but perfectly good condition, or an elderly with good health.

Priority Parking: it’s time to go abroad

I got this image from my young colleagues who was studying in the UK. It’s a priority park in Bicester Village, a large outlet in Oxford. At first sight, you must recognise immediately that it’s located in a developed country. Deep down you could see that: 1. It’s mostly unoccupied 2. No barrier on each lot 3. No staff authority or security officer Let’s do an anatomy, why this scene can happen: 1. Strict regulations and penalty 2. Justice law enforcement by authority 3. Respected by people In fact an violation and misuse of priority parking by selfish people happens …
