A mission in searching for a S-Guard barricade in Japan!!

A barrier preventing motorcycle is also known as S-Guard barricade. It is a novel innovation brought to you by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) in an attempt to prevent motorists driving on the sidewalk. This weird thing is increasingly enlarging in scale throughout the city of Bangkok, especially at the major intersections. The point is that I have a strong belief that those authorities, who have the power to initiate this execution, might perhaps derive this idea from Japan where the innovation already existed. A seemingly last optional alternative like the overpass is still wheelchair-friendly

The overpass, an innovation for pedestrians to safely cross a street. It’s considered safe and convenient yet highly inaccessible for some if built unintelligently like many footbridges in Thailand where wheelchair users are completely unable to use it. For developed countries, that might have passed the primitive state of trial and error, they recognise the limitations of the overpass and try to minimize its usage if possible. “The Smart City” through the eyes of Khon Khaen’s Vice Governor.

Since we had a chance to visit Khon Khan, we couldn’t miss but to meet with the city’s leader. After the official event completed, with the inclusive connection, we finally had an opportunity to meet with the city’s Vice Governor in person. The Khon Kaen’s “Smart City” masterplan is one of many projects in the National Economic and Social Development Plan. Special Lecture on ‘Inclusive Design for the Inclusive Living’, Design Business Technology Management Programme, Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Thammasat University

It was fantastic! For a special lecture days ago with incredible 77 sophomores in Design Business Technology Management Programme, Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Thammasat University. It began with a lecturer of the faculty contacted me via FB Page saying that he was my long-time fan and passionate on inclusive design as it is part of our lives. He also used to be a temporary disabled which greatly changed his attitude since then. So, he would like me to give a talk to inspire his students.
