STOP SELFISHNESS

08/22/2018 10:00pm Bangkok, Thailand.

I visited FoodLand Sri-na-ka-rin for my late dinner sawing this black car already parked on a priority parking.
I asked to check CCTV whether if the driver is eligible, after clearly proved, I waited patiently at the exit.

Not so long, two gentlemen and one lady, carrying loads of stuffs, appeared to walk to the car.
I suddenly approached to look at them closely, all were obviously just healthy guys.
The lady soon recognised me and her face changed shockingly, then rushed to get in the car.

Everyone was getting into the car ready to leave, while I was putting myself in front of the car.

I speak out loud and clear “Excuse me, is there PWDs in this car ?”
“I saw your video…”, replied a gentleman passenger.
Another reply from the driver, “Yes we have…, more than 60 years old.”
I responded, “60, but there is NO ONE NECESSARILY HAVE TO PARK here”

The gentleman passenger seemed apologetic.
But the driver got hot and shouted out back, “Well, what if it rains, how could I do? It can’t help.”

Immediately after this response, those healthy guys got out the parking and leaved me alone.

By Thai law, the legitimate proportion of priority parking in any premises is 1:100.
If everyone keeps biased to yourself that “I have the right to park here”, although they obviously DON’T NEED to do that.
This already-limited priority parking would really have no place for the one who REALLY NEED it.

What if a PWDs comes here and it rains, what he/she could do?
And 10:00pm. at Foodland always has plenty of available parking lots, go further a little bit to find one.
Just a few extra walks would not harm anybody.

STOP SELFISHNESS!
