A mission in searching for a S-Guard barricade in Japan!!

A barrier preventing motorcycle is also known as S-Guard barricade. It is a novel innovation brought to you by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) in an attempt to prevent motorists driving on the sidewalk. This weird thing is increasingly enlarging in scale throughout the city of Bangkok, especially at the major intersections. The point is that I have a strong belief that those authorities, who have the power to initiate this execution, might perhaps derive this idea from Japan where the innovation already existed. It might appear interesting in their eyes. However, it’s just a superficial inspiration and lacks scrutiny on how it effectively works.

I used to remind the Bangkok Governor long time ago to please carefully reconsider this execution since it doesn’t solve the problem at its root. I provided him with useful videos and relevant information regarding its negative impacts that could suffer PWDs and wide ranges of pedestrians. So far, his constructive response or significant reconsideration remains absence and this innovation is still causing troubles to many.

Please have a look at its possible downsides toward the use of the sidewalk.

Again, I would like to kindly ask the Bangkok Governor to have a thoughtful reconsideration. Make sure that sizeable feedbacks from the users are first taken into consideration before any executions.

This seemingly brilliant innovation had raised my curiosity that, last year, lead me to explore it in Japan at firsthand. With the total of 15-day time of my travelling throughout Japan, I saw it only once. Great!

[I found only one at the entrance of Osaka Castle]
