Test Ride: Brand-New Khon Khaen Smart Bus

We’re invited to test riding the Khon Khaen Smart Bus which was recently operated in service. Here are few summaries from my experience riding around the city:

1. It’s a mid-sized bus equipped with a hydraulic system, making it disabled-friendly to get in and get off the bus safely.
2. Practically, it took a bit some time to get in and get off the bus. However, it’s not crowded during our ride and other passengers seemed calm and understandable.
3. On the test date, the bus had in total of 10 fleets, only 5 equipped with the hydraulic system. (Weird, why not all cars)
4. The bus stop remained vague and not clear. The access to the bus was not an issue.
5. The driver was friendly and helpful.
6. The bus terminal itself still lacked proper facilities to accommodate passengers.
