[Note: you can turn on English closed caption] Unbelievable that the local low-cost airline Nok Air, left pwd passenger with no wheelchair to literally crawl out of their airplane and to the bus by himself! The organizations who responsible for this must investigate and fix this problem as soon as possible.

  Time line: 13 September 2007: The people with disability sued by using The Administrative Court to force BTS Sky Train prepared the basic of accessibility. 22 September 2009: The people with disability lost the case because on that time the accessibility Thai law have got any detail & description. The Reason of the the lawsuit: 1. While constructing BTS Sky Train, What is The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration have done for the disability person? >>They said “None” 2. Since the first constructing BTS Sky Train did they have the elevator and any accessibility supported? >>They said “Not from the beginning, …

It has already passed over 20 years that the disabled called to BTS for having the basic accessibility facilities. They were sued and lost, then they appealed to The Administrative Court. Tomorrow – We’re going to the court for the judgement. Will you join us?

According to people affected by the airlines refuse to serve people with disabilities often occur. Representatives of the disabled has taken a complaint to the “Commission social affairs, youth, the elderly, children, the disabled and the disadvantaged”. The subcommittee considered the complaint. This case is an example of the discrimination problem between people with disabilities and the airline in Thailand. Therefore, the subcommittee invite representatives of agencies involved in the supervision, control and licensing to airline attendants to find ways to resolve the problem in a systematic way.
