We will be the one (that change our country)

If you want to make things changed, you have to make some moves.

I do always stress this phase, and I’m gonna do it again. Admittedly, there are problems everywhere around us. Yet a problem itself is not as problematic as your attitude to deal with it. What’s more important is the people who step forward to make a change, who no longer deny to remain an avid criticizer, who refuse to compromise standard. As a society, you must make a change now. Begin from what you’re good at or feel comfortable. Otherwise we’d be filled up with mountains of problems. Let’s make a move!

[Environment] A Dangerous Intersection.

This image took place at Rama9 interaction. It’s a common scene in Bangkok a local is so used to it. We wondered how to cross the road like this. After scrutiny you would realise that even ordinary people find difficulty in crossing it. The crossing is doubly worse, and almost practically impossible, for PWDs. Why? 1. The road and footpath is extremely in different level. The ramp that you see is not functional as it’s not seamless or stepless when you go down from footpath. This might crack down any wheelchair users easily.

[Environment] Dangerous footpath

This is the photo of the Rama 9 Intersection I took a few days ago. It is a thing that we get used to see when we pass by. I am also the one who has grown up in this city and seen this image since I was a child. Today, I simply think that if we want to make solve this problem, we need to do it by ourselves. Let’s call for action! I invite you all. This problem would be gone, if we “all” work together to fix it. Let’s clean up “our house” together.

Six years of relentless endeavour for the equal rights and fairness FOR ALL. Thank you for every single one of your efforts.

The 6th anniversary of Accessibility Is Freedom! Finally we’ve got a Thai official name “เข้าถึงและเท่าเทียม” On 15 August 2014, I launched the very first video clip about accessible parking problem. Since then, with relentless fight for equality as well as strong collaborative networks from countless parties and individual endeavour, it’s not exaggerated to say that we see some significant accessibility improvement in Thailand. Our works still prevail and continuously move forward, even more extensive.

Mission Today: ‘To build an equitable city for all’, sooner or later it will actualise!

[7 August 2020] Today I woke up so early at 3 a.m. because I have two stellar missions to do. The estimated expense today will be around 1,000 Baht, toll fee and gas, with heavy focus while meetings. This kind of expenditure occurred regularly along my almost 6-year intensive social work.

Every movement comes with cost. We need more storage, please help support us!

Along the past 6 years of my intense social contribution, I’ve paid focus on tools for effective communication to convey the best message to everyone. In doing that, it inevitably costed a price to pay, a big amount of expense. When I made a serious field survey: shooting or editing, it needed a storage to collect that useful information. Our close team members would recognise that I put emphasis on storage, all data must be kept safely and conveniently. I already purchased several extra storage tools. But since my finance is not doing quite well recently, this act must be …

Stop violating the People with disabilities rights

According to my last area survey, some might say that it’s “too much”, it’s coming and “can’t hold it”. Here is the picture for an example. In the PTT gas station – Bang Na, there are 2 toilet areas for normal people (male and female). I assume that there should be around 20 rooms in total. However, each area has 1 room for PWDs and one of these two is out of service. So just only 1 left still available.

I’d like to share with you today. Anyone who comes to this page would recognise its cover image which I had posted it since the very beginning, and it never changed. It’s my strong intention and ambitious vision that laid a foundation for all my works. I name the image “The City of Tomorrow” to remind us our sense of duty to make the city together. It’s my dream to have a city that all of its dwellers are living happily regardless of their physical conditions.

Problem solving in a ‘new normal’ way, our real ability!

Problem solving in a new normal way, our real ability! Today I’d like to share with you some of our main progresses during the last month that we’ve collaborated and supported the wide range of our networks. Things are quite impressive actually. As long as I can remember they are: 1. The accessible parking design at Sa-mi-ti-vej Sri-na-ka-rin Hospital / work done in 1 week. 2. The physical barrier around the subway entrance at MRT Bang Pho station / issue reported, and acknowledged, to the top management within 10 minutes.

Thailand’s People with disabilities Education Data

The number of registered PWDs in Thailand accounts roughly about 2 million people. Among this, I’ve selected some interesting fact, and one that raises a question, about PWDs’ educational level to share with you. What do you think? No doubt, education is a key factor, and gateway, to one’s pursue of quality life. We must help each other. Help rebuild our city with more equality and accessibility. When we have a truly accessible and equitable city where we can go anywhere we want, “the disabled” whose perception from the public is ‘less fortunate’, would be able to go to school …

‘New Orleans chicken or Wing Zab chicken’, everyone knows these simple yet delicious menu. When we want to eat it, we go buy it. But now I choose to make it my own style, and it’s soooo easy to do! First I bought half a kilo of chicken wings at Foodland, about 90 Baht. I divided it into two meals, each contains about 6-7 pieces of chicken wings. After that, I rinsed and mixed it with some salt to deodorize its fishy smell. Now I blended it with fish sauce, honey, cayenne pepper, and black pepper, and then fermented it …
