ALERT! A huge accessibility problem found at the skywalk connecting Wat Phra Sri Mahathat station to Tesco Lotus Laksi, on the recent Green Line extension of the BTS skytrain!

I just got this image from one of our networks on yesterday. Surprised by what I saw before, and sadly once again, there was a steep stairway! on the skywalk which connected right next to the Wat Phra Sri Mahathat station, a brand-new BTS station, way down to Tesco Lotus Laksi.

This was annoying me so much because previously I had a meeting with the MRTA team, who’s in charge of this, and I insisted no stair on skywalks anymore. And they firmly promised my request. But is this what we got?

By the way, we have quite a close connection, and this great concern has already landed to them. We’re waiting for some reasonable explanation. Sure we’ll soon have a deep talk on this.

For now I suggest, the only way out is to dismantle the stair, and replace it with slope. There would be no other way, get it fixed now or tomorrow you will have to anyway.
