The value for investment for sustainable development IS NOT EQUAL to the business perspectives

We often hear the saying “Don’t build it, it’s not worth it, we don’t see people with disabilities using them…”.
Attitudes distorted by this ignorance affect the development of the country and has been occurring continuously for a long time.Recently, the SRT removed overpasses and the elevators for the medium and small size stations in the Southern line double-track railway project. Resolution of the SRT Board of Directors opined that “Just a few passengers, not worth it”. –Hey! you remember what I just wrote on the lines above right?

Overpasses and elevators once we have installed, all passengers would get more convenient, also increased safety and has a minimum lifespan of 100 years.

This challenge really and easy to answer. It doesn’t have to be complicated at all, if you or your parents, grandparents, grandparents or children or grandchildren become a person with disabilities and you’re living in the train station area…

We all know that “development and change take time”, but if we don’t start changing now, Thailand will continue to fall behind forever.

Let’s take a look around. Today’s the roads, sidewalks, public transports, buildings and places, schools…
Is it Good Accessible for those who have the physical challenge?

Thailand has very good rules and regulations, but ensuring that this happens remains difficult.

People, including the top management of state agencies often say the words that sound elegant to get the good looking “Thailand is about to enter an aging society, we will never leave anyone behind”.

But in reality, that’s not what we heard from them.

Let me remind you again, the value of a life is NOT EQUAL to business perspective.

Don’t forget the words I used to say. All life is equal and today you are healthy, but tomorrow you will definitely not.

And let me shout loud and clear, “Of course, I will not let you leave me behind!”
