A correct understanding of each group of passengers who require special care is essential. Such understanding forms a crucial foundation, directly impacting overall safety in public transportation services.
We and SRT Electrified Train Company Limited (SRTET), have long been working together to bridge differences and foster equality. Together, we have pioneered new service standards in the rail system, such as continuous staff training, the provision of boarding ramps for train carriages, and improvements to station facilities.
The network of disability organizations and associations collaborated to organize the 2025 annual training for SRTET staff, under the theme “Proper and Safe Service for Special Passengers.”
In addition to improving correct understanding of special passengers, the training lays a solid foundation for staff to better serve all passenger groups. This enhances passenger safety, convenience, and overall travel experience, which in turn positively impacts service efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
This year’s training saw the participation of 500 SRTET staff, accounting for 80% of all employees. The training was conducted over five days on May 14, 15, 16, 19, and 20, 2025, with participants from all departments.
Training Outcomes:
– Positive feedback: 89%
– Significant improvement in participants’ knowledge levels, with the average increasing from 1.6 to 2.9
– Highest satisfaction with the instructors, with an average score of 2.9 out of 3
– Key suggestion: a desire for ongoing training of this nature
This represents a successful collaboration among all stakeholders, including the service providers and the network of partners working together to drive positive change in Thailand’s public transportation system.
Our gratitude goes to the SRTET executives for prioritizing and providing this opportunity for us to enhance the knowledge of staff.
Thanks to the Quality Control Department, the team, and SRTET for making such valuable projects possible every year.
