Problem solving in a new normal way, our real ability! Today I’d like to share with you some of our main progresses during the last month that we’ve collaborated and supported the wide range of our networks. Things are quite impressive actually. As long as I can remember they are: 1. The accessible parking design at Sa-mi-ti-vej Sri-na-ka-rin Hospital / work done in 1 week. 2. The physical barrier around the subway entrance at MRT Bang Pho station / issue reported, and acknowledged, to the top management within 10 minutes.

One of our fellow networks has sent this devastating scene to me when he explored the whole area of MRT Bang O station, a newly-built station recently opened for service. I personally don’t blame the labour workers who, after all, follow the order of their boss. And their boss follows the order of their superior up further, and the superior to the more superior.

The number of registered PWDs in Thailand accounts roughly about 2 million people. Among this, I’ve selected some interesting fact, and one that raises a question, about PWDs’ educational level to share with you. What do you think? No doubt, education is a key factor, and gateway, to one’s pursue of quality life. We must help each other. Help rebuild our city with more equality and accessibility. If you have been following my work and direction you’d realise I often said “BE STRONG”, I do mean both physically and mentally! Problems are everywhere in any society and in all our walks of life, aren’t there? Yet, if we’re perfectly healthy, no matter how hard the problem we could have an ability and mentality to see, to think, to analyze what’s right and what’s not right. We could bring ourselves to face and solve the problems effectively.

The misuse of the accessible parking has been a prevalent, and long-instilled, problem in our society. This is obviously an act that’s against the law and in total disregard for the need. Knowing the limit of one’s rights as a citizen, thus, is crucial than ever. So today I’d like to share with you some quick take-away facts, compressed from pages of law papers. Since the past many years, Fashion Island has been one of shopping malls that we’ve engaged in a deliberate consultancy. It keeps improving to match its grand goal: ‘a shopping mall for all’. Recently, we joined the meeting once again and one of the managements threw a commitment word to us, “Good is not enough guys. It must be WOW!” The situation was better now after the peak of the Corona Virus, so yesterday was my first field survey and I was shocked by what I’d seen before my eyes.

‘Too inconvenient to go out, so I just stay home.”, said a student during my special lecture for the young generation of PWDs. Yep, this is the long-lasting reality, a cold fact of the unspoken till this day. The “inconvenience” serves as a hindrance which makes PWDs uncomfortable to go out to see the outside world. This “inconvenience” shuts down the windows of opportunities and all possible developments a person could fulfil. During 2017-2018, we had involved and made a deliberate consultation to the Mega Bangna’s management team. This inclusive collaboration included the accessible parking improvement, toilet redesign, its new zone of Mega Foodwalk, and many more. I still remember that one of the management guaranteed firmly that the mall would incorporate full accessible facilities so everyone can get access comfortably and equally. Time passed, and I regularly received good news about the mall’s traffic that increasingly welcomed variety groups of customers; family, the elderly, or the wheelchair users.   I just got this image from one of our networks on yesterday. Surprised by what I saw before, and sadly once again, there was a steep stairway! on the skywalk which connected right next to the Wat Phra Sri Mahathat station, a brand-new BTS station, way down to Tesco Lotus Laksi.
