If you want to make things changed, you have to make some moves.

I do always stress this phase, and I’m gonna do it again. Admittedly, there are problems everywhere around us. Yet a problem itself is not as problematic as your attitude to deal with it. What’s more important is the people who step forward to make a change, who no longer deny to remain an avid criticizer, who refuse to compromise standard. As a society, you must make a change now. Begin from what you’re good at or feel comfortable. Otherwise we’d be filled up with mountains of problems. Let’s make a move!

The accessible parking at Makro Srinakarin is exceptionally built with strict management.

I often dropped myself to shop at neighboring Makro Srinakarin, a major hypermarket in Thailand. I found its accessible parking was built with accurate engineering standard. The security officers also always kept an eyes on it to protect the rights of PWDs. The supporting elements like signboard was big and outstanding enough to detect. Big thanks to the Makro Srinakarin management team.

The law of accessible parking must be redefined

One pothole for accessible parking is that there is yet “legal punishment” to legally penalize the wrongdoers. It just stated ‘who’ is eligible to park on. I always address this issue that if you want to dissolve this problem completely, we must holistically cover it in every aspects; supporting, encouraging, and punishing. I give you one small, obvious example of “No-Smoking-on-public” law.

My lovely hometown

This morning my cousin sent me a picture depicting a scene of my hometown in countryside. I was so enthusiastic to go back but found no proper time to do so due to heavy work overload here.😭 When I was a teenager I performed as a guitarist in a local band. (Take a glimpse at this Thai country song Carabao: https://youtu.be/cseDqZgP1mw) I am originally a villager in a faraway countryside who came to work in the capital city of Bangkok when I was in the mid-20s. Life then was full of works and deep passion to accomplish in this highly …

The quality of life and public safety of a citizen…

A fellow friend of mine was recently hit a jackpot by having an (necessary) accident while he was about to step down from ill-built pedestrian cross bridge, making his rib broken severely. The district’s authority soon came to repair it, after the incident went viral. I was even more surprised by the quality of work repair. You can compare the before-and-after image. What an awful, careless job.

[Environment] A Dangerous Intersection.

This image took place at Rama9 interaction. It’s a common scene in Bangkok a local is so used to it. We wondered how to cross the road like this. After scrutiny you would realise that even ordinary people find difficulty in crossing it. The crossing is doubly worse, and almost practically impossible, for PWDs. Why? 1. The road and footpath is extremely in different level. The ramp that you see is not functional as it’s not seamless or stepless when you go down from footpath. This might crack down any wheelchair users easily.

A Man Who Made Saba The Better Man

Flash back to my early life on a student day, I still had a version 1 of disability, an infectious disease of Polio that caused muscle weakness on one of my legs. Though I was still be able to walk, unfirmly. My family back then was dirt poor. My super, solo mom raised her 4 children by herself in a rural area with extreme Third-World conditions of ‘70s Thailand. An old Thai movie “Kru-Ban-Norg” (A Rural Teacher) reflects almost perfectly how my life was back then.

Mission Today: ‘To build an equitable city for all’, sooner or later it will actualise!

[7 August 2020] Today I woke up so early at 3 a.m. because I have two stellar missions to do. I’ll have to drive at least 219 km. having two important meeting at east side of Thailand and North side Bangkok. The estimated expense today will be around 1,000 Baht, toll fee and gas, with heavy focus while meetings. This kind of expenditure occurred regularly along my almost 6-year intensive social work.

[Airport Rail Link] – The provision of steel ramp service is available at all stations, Just ask officer if you need it.

Last Tuesday was my first field survey after long Bangkok’s lockdown. Some of ARL officers still remember me. We exchanged warm greeting happily. Every trip of mine is the investigation in itself. This time I took ARL service from Huamark to Makkasan station. They provided me a wheelchair ramp in getting access with warm service mind and professional hospitality. I highly satisfied. Note: You can ask officer at anytime when you need a wheelchair ramp service. They’re well-trained and more than happy to assist you.
