I have only known both of them recently but I have witnessed their kindness towards to people with disabilities. Mr. Tam is a lawyer, who stands behind me in the photo. He has helped disabled people with their legal issues for the past 30 years. Mr. Aud, who is also a lawyer, has been currently using wheelchairs since he has been unwell.

“You’re helping us and you get nothing…” A voice from the Thammasat University law students, year 2016 that I had the opportunity to work with. This is the second time that we are meeting to make an appeal at the Traffic and Transportation Department of Bangkok City (TTD) for the construction of skywalk so that it’s accessible to everyone.

Oct 20, 2016 As a representative of the rights of person with disabilities and the Thammasat University law students 2016 to filed a complaint for the BTS’s skywalk at the Office of Traffic and Transportation.

It’s quite weird that although we have laws and regulations regarding with standard of accessible facilities, few of them has successfully happened. Today we attended the conference on behalf of many, as Accessibility Is Freedom whom we provide social contributions to raise the awareness and virtue of public mind, and as T4A whom we have common goals in actualizing an inclusive accessibility on public transportations.

Students contacted me because they wanted more information about the accessibility issue associated with sky walk. They would like to send accessibility project report to their professor. I asked for all the students have to involved in the project, to let them understand the real problem.

    “Basic Civil Rights” Everyone has probably heard this somewhere. This words clearly written in our country’s laws. For people who are healthy one may not pay much attention, they may feel unrelated or may not even feel it and I do really understand all of you. Alright, today let me tell you my little stories.

  Time line: 13 September 2007: The people with disability sued by using The Administrative Court to force BTS Sky Train prepared the basic of accessibility. 22 September 2009: The people with disability lost the case because on that time the accessibility Thai law have got any detail & description. According to people affected by the airlines refuse to serve people with disabilities often occur. Representatives of the disabled has taken a complaint to the “Commission social affairs, youth, the elderly, children, the disabled and the disadvantaged”. The subcommittee considered the complaint. This case is an example of the discrimination problem between people with disabilities and the airline in Thailand. Therefore, the subcommittee invite representatives of agencies involved in the supervision, control and licensing to airline attendants to find ways to resolve the problem in a systematic way.
