We are all equal – EQUALRUN

The moment where we have the chance to stand on the starting line…
⬅️ Look to your left – You will see an aunt with healthy and strong bodies.
➡️ Look to your right – You will see a young lady with lightweight and strong legs.
⬇️ Look behind – you will see a beautiful aunt with a fit and firm body and young face. This shows that she puts a lot of time into exercising and training for the marathon.
⬆️ Look to the front – is an elite runner, lighting speed on the first glance
⏺ I’m also joining the race, just because I sit in a wheelchair doesn’t mean that I’m different from other runners. Just a few physical part of the body is not the same as you.

Everything in this world is different. Human is also different…

To be able to stand on the starting line, every runner has their own long story…

So am I, before I am able to run. My body shows a lot of weakness and slowly accused “You can’t keep going on like this. You must do something” knowing that running is meant for escaping trouble death. Thus, I created goals and started training to improve my ability in running by using a wheelchair. Initially, it was not easy but 5 years later, I’ve realized that I’m training in the ultra marathon range.

Some runners who run with expensive shoes, some may run with bare feet. You run with your leg strength and shoes only, I use my arm strength and wheelchair. We are all just ordinary people, not an angel. We’re all could definitely break down our muscles.

People have different ways of moving forward. Each way consists of advantages and disadvantages to it. It is very interesting, isn’t it?

The advantage of a wheelchair is going down the hill. Although, BIG disadvantage during the climbing up. If you want to know how hard of climbing up the hill using a wheelchair, you can try it and you will feel it.

It is natural for our bodies to be different, our mind will ‘fill in the gap’ for us.

For my run, what I’m trying to do:
1. Everyone can be become stronger and able to develop further.
2. Providing encouragement to friends who are running behind me, and cheering for the people who are faster than me.
3. I want to run together with all runners.
4. I don’t want use a racing wheelchair, the daily wheelchair is more than enough. (Racing wheelchair is too fast)
5. I want to run without any ‘special’ request, just go and run with all of you.

How many sports there are that require physical condition in order to have fun or racing without special rules?
In the running track everyone’s pride is equal. This is one of the most admirable things that represent us as humans: honor, pride, meritorious equality.

Road Race is one that you will surely see me definitely.

Just because we are all equal – #EQUALRUN
