“Providing Proper and Safe Services for Passengers Requiring Special Assistance”
This training initiative has been developed and carried out continuously over the years. Finally, in 2025 and 2026, we reached a shared milestone: 100% of executives and staff involved in passenger services were trained in providing appropriate and safe services to passengers requiring special assistance.
This achievement was made possible through strong collaboration between the Quality Control Department of SRT Electrified Train Co., Ltd. (SRTET), the operator of Thailand’s Red Line commuter rail service, its management and staff, and partner organizations representing persons with disabilities and older persons. The training has been highly successful.
Proper understanding and appropriate service can significantly improve the overall efficiency and safety of public transportation systems, particularly for passengers who require special assistance.
SRTET and our team have worked together for many years to help bridge gaps and differences and to promote greater equality. Together, we have also helped establish new standards for passenger services within Thailand’s rail-based public transportation system.
These efforts include the introduction of boarding and alighting ramps for passengers on both the Airport Rail Link (ARL) and the Red Line, improvements to accessibility facilities within stations, and the ongoing training of personnel to ensure that passengers receive appropriate and safe assistance.
