When you start going out exploring the world, you’ll always meet new friends (and you will definitely also facing more problems)

I usually meet with new people whenever I leave my home and be open-minded.
Today, during my returning trip by BTS skytrain, I met with a lovely family traveling to the A-soke station.

I wasn’t decisive about their nationality, so I greeted them in Thai. They’re finally Singaporean who recently changed their travel plan from Rat-cha-da Night Market to a shopping mall at A-soke due to the raining.

I noticed that his accompanying lady was always assisting him to get around.
With no doubt, I then teased him a little bit, “Sir, you better help yourself just like me. That would also keep you as strong as I am lol.”

Soon after, I just realised that, their destination, there is just “only one elevator” at MRT Cultural Center station where he might get some trouble in accessing and crossing the road. As such, in this case, taking a taxi might be the best choice. This is another example of inequality and inaccessibility for PWDs here in year 2018. By the way, I already gave him my card name just in case he might need some help.

I keep saying that this poor accessibility could be viewed in many ways as a national-scale problem.
Once he came back to Singapore, he would probably spread this negative experience of getting around and say like “Do not go to Thailand as its miserable accessibility could make you in trouble.”

On the other hand, it would be a fantastic experience if the accessibility is exceptional and serve for everyone inclusively.
By the way, have a wonderful trip with your family Mr. Jacky!
