This was my first time giving a lecture to this faculty. This time, there was a Singaporean student joining the lecture. I narrated in English to communicate directly with the audience.
The goal of this lecture is to foster understanding among students about diversity in society. I want them to experience what it is like to be in a wheelchair, unable to see, and be aware that people’s bodies can always change.
Instead of lecturing with words, I let them experience disability in the environment they spend their daily lives in. Afterwards, we shared our feelings. I designed the activity so that the students won’t feel that it was too harsh. I genuinely hope that people of the new generation will enjoy and understand the diversity of people in society.
What’s more, I invited Khun Ood, a consultant lawyer, and his secretary to share his knowledge and story during the lecture. Sun, a representative from Patumwan Demonstration School, and Pat, a representative from Disabilities Thailand, assisted our team today. These are some of the behind the scene photos! It was such a blast!
Special thanks to the professor, the Faculty of Arts and Chulalongkorn University.
