Bangkok (and Thailand) Is a “WAR ZONE”

This is the reality of Bangkok and other provinces in Thailand that we’ve faced. Many generations have passed with a good overall development pace, but meanwhile, for people with disabilities and lower physical potential, the “perfect” journey has not yet happened.

We have laws, regulations, and everything else that drives the country forward. However, if we look back, we will see sidewalks, surrounding areas, public spaces, overpasses all over the place, threatening roads and traffic, and a city full of buildings, of which only a minority is “legal” due to the law on establishing basic facilities. If you are walking along the streets, you can accidentally fall head over heels. The general transportation route that people usually use can be counted as more perilous and dangerous than a war zone.
Don’t be surprised if everything is on the sidewalks instead of the walking path; I guarantee it’s normal.

People with disabilities still cannot leave their homes, go to school, or even go to the hospital for their treatment. They couldn’t even travel, go shopping, or engage in normal social activities like the others…

The most significant reflection for you to clearly see the big picture is that 83 percent of people with disabilities have graduated with primary school degrees. It adds up to the picture that society sees people with disabilities as a black and gray dot with a pathetic and poignant thing that they need to help with. People usually use us as a remedy when they are feeling down while trying to reject and deprive us, and this is the reason that explains why a lot of people with disabilities’ mindset are totally disabled.

People with disabilities will never be a pleasing and appealing image in Thailand.

I want to tell you the truth that if you have planned to come to Thailand, you must face the challenges I’ve mentioned.
What you cannot do in your home country, I assure you, you can do in Thailand.

Oh, I almost forgot that in Thailand, cannabis is legal.
