Accessibility Is Freedom เข้าถึงและเท่าเทียม | Accessible and Equal
In one of my recent fieldworks, I mentioned to the (city development) team the issues with crosswalk that tarnishes and wears out quickly. Most likely from all the pollutants such as dust and dirt. The amount of traffic and the multiple ongoing construction projects are the likely culprit. So I asked them if they could do something about it and keep the crosswalk clean.
Then today I was contacted by the director of the Bureau of Traffic and Transport saying that he had allocated a team to take care of the cleaning. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to go there in person since it was planned for midnight, but I went there to take this picture afterwards.
Big thanks to everyone involved, both on the front and back end, especially the city’s spokesperson, Who all went through this strenuous work, all the while open to comments and criticism.
Developing a city requires not just one person, both government and private sector—everyone—should be involved.
