Starbucks Thailand, Central Rama 9 Ground Floor IS NOT wheelchair friendly

I’ve known Alex since I was doing a big bang on the accessibility issues.
We were been keep touching each other since then…

Alex had an accident and got spinal cord injured at the higher level than me.
His arms are not strong as I am but he still races his wheelchair faster than me.
He lives in Koa Samui and has just married with lovey Thai girl and they come to Bangkok for visa.

This round we can finally have a good time to meet.
I picked up the department store that I hope the accessibilities will be alright for our first meeting.
We did exchanged disability information and ideas on both sites UK and Thailand.

We went down to the ground floor to have some coffee at Starbucks.
We both wondered why they have 1 step before going into the shop as picture above.

For us we would never ask for help, until we can’t do nothing.
We are happy to do it by our-self, rather than asking someone.
Nice people on our city, but yes, we always try to avoid to asking for anyone.

One step for the wheelchair is a BIG problem.
“I would say it is effecting to every people that’s why they written down ‘mind your step'” – Alex said.

I’ve finally nicely requested to talk to the manager, the girl said ‘gone back home already’. (I don’t know : why every time I ask to talk to the manager – they always said ‘not here’ – may be the policy?)

‘Because Starbucks shop has deal later after building has been done, so step has been been as it be’ : the girl said.
I told here that doing a ramp it is so easy, I told here if someone miss step up on the front of Starbucks it is a another big issue.

By the way, I left the message and my name card for the manager.
And for sure, next time I’ll visit Starbucks again.
