The Little Angels and her runner superdad

There are quite many foreigners living in my residence. When I go downstair, I usually meet with these two lovely young girls. Soon, I got to know her personally as well as her dad. One of the lovely little girls, Valentina, has some motor disability called Cerebral Palsy (CP) which has the weakness or problems with brain sending signal and muscles. These make her life quite difficult than the others. While Vanessa, the older sister, is perfectly normal and healthily fit. She did a great job of being a sister, taking care of Valentina nicely. Her dad is a runner, …

[Good story] The sustainable business is the business that wins the heart of customers. Thanks to Mal and Permobil / Australia

Many of our avid fans must realise very quickly when I told you about my last purchase of ROHO for 6 months then it leaks off. I was so worried because the seat was no where near cheap. It’s almost 20,000 Baht. But I had to buy and use it. Without it, I cannot live and work my life quite well. Because of this seat, it reduced possible pain to my body and allowed me to be crazy with life sometimes. My marathon achievement wouldn’t have been possible without this this seat. It’s not exaggerated to say that this seat …

Behind-the-Scene with Nina – Supergirl

We have intensely moved on the right way, since before the beginning of this year, under a project, SabaMedia. During the past two months, we have worked so hard and gained valuable experiences, though with limitations. We are ambitious to keep the channel in constant improvement with our best effort. To go for outdoor live streaming, I wish the quality of the content produced would be as grand as in Saba Studio. This is my standard I set it so high which unfortunately forced me to bring nearly all my stuff accompanying every time I went for fieldwork, just a …

The precious smile, the incredible over expected value

Smile and happiness is priceless. Shot with a foreign family, this image took place on March 2017 when I participated in the press conference on the “BTS’s first four lift delivery date, joined by the Bangkok Governor and his Deputy, and many involved parties. I met this family when the event was over. I got a chance to talk with them and was very impressive when they said that, as a regular passenger, they’re very happy that the lift’s installed so they could use it. Needless to explain, let the image says itself. What we see is the smile and …

Priority Parking – the story : ‘just a minute!’

This incident occurred at the very same place, The JAS Urban. I’d done my dinner and about to leave here. At the moment, I accidentally saw a pickup truck, on the picture above, was trying to park on a blank priority parking. They came as a whole family without anyone disabled. A woman was getting off the car. I suddenly opened my window and said “Excuse me, you’re parking on a priority parking”

Priority parking – the story : ‘Parking problem at Suan-luang Rama IX’

Suan-luang Rama IX’ I began to go for exercise more often at Suan-luang RAMA IX, a public park. Surprisingly, what I found was only 4 priority parking lots in total which were separated into 2 zones. Meaning that each zone had only 2 priority parking for PWDs. It’s such a very few lucky times these priority parking would be free of use and thus I could be able to park on it. Basically, I didn’t want to take it seriously, just observing things happening here.

‘Come on man, it’s just a second.!’ A seemingly tiny problem, but produces huge effect on our society.

Just a second problemOne of the root causes of the problems and violence in the society today is the lack of public mind. Many people are truly familiar on what is wrongdoing. They unconsciously keep doing that. They also put the excuse that “Because everybody is doing that.” They never question themselves of what they are doing. Is it right or wrong? Appropriate or inappropriate? This failed attitude finally leads to the priority parking problem. If we are not giving our hands to help solving this problem, or any problems, as a citizen, who else does? I’m going to give a …

What are we lacking for?

Thailandis a member of The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, or CRPD. All members need to continuously update and report their progresses regarding the subject. I got an opportunity to involve with the meeting and, surprisingly, acknowledged tremendous efforts of many members to improve PWDs’ standard of living in their countries.
