Please Help MeThis morning, I got a call soon after I woke up. It appeared to be a very hotline asking for help from Jeab, and her team. They were going to Phit-sa-nu-lok for trip by AirAsia airline. One of her team member was an powered wheelchair user. The airline didn’t allow bringing his battery, necessary forpowered wheelchair, on board. So I suggested her to call any other hotlines for help, as possible as they could find, at the very intense moment.

05 April 2016 Pictures from my last trip to Singapore, earlier this year! I just found it, let me post it just in case might I lose it again. While was leaving from Changi Airport, Singapore back to Bangkok. At the check in point, the staff told me very clearly that I had to pay for 20 SGD for the wheelchair service. (Singaporean Dollars, approximately 500 Baht) Since I was traveling abroad after asking again to confirmed, so then I also asked for an invoice.

PWDs everyday problem! This time, on the low cost airline, let see this case how this happen!

[Note: you can turn on English closed caption] Unbelievable that the local low-cost airline Nok Air, left pwd passenger with no wheelchair to literally crawl out of their airplane and to the bus by himself! The organizations who responsible for this must investigate and fix this problem as soon as possible.

According to people affected by the airlines refuse to serve people with disabilities often occur. Representatives of the disabled has taken a complaint to the “Commission social affairs, youth, the elderly, children, the disabled and the disadvantaged”. The subcommittee considered the complaint. This case is an example of the discrimination problem between people with disabilities and the airline in Thailand. Therefore, the subcommittee invite representatives of agencies involved in the supervision, control and licensing to airline attendants to find ways to resolve the problem in a systematic way. And to solve problems impact to all the airlines in Thailand. Today …
