This was my first time being invited to give a special lecture at the Faculty of Law. I chose my own experience of “BTS lift Smashed Story” to these graduate students of human rights. Due to the Covid-19, we conducted it online. All insights and useful information were delivered fully including overall accessibility in Thailand and virtual survey.

In one of my recent fieldworks, I mentioned to the (city development) team the issues with crosswalk that tarnishes and wears out quickly. Most likely from all the pollutants such as dust and dirt. The amount of traffic and the multiple ongoing construction projects are the likely culprit. So I asked them if they could do something about it and keep the crosswalk clean.

Lessons and learn from the city development project at Asoke intersection. As part of working team, today I’m going to share with you the physical gentrification at Asoke intersection.

This is my first 100K training run. Usually, if I have the time, I tend to practice as close to the target distance as possible in the days leading up to a long run. I gradually increase the distances, such as 11K, 22K, 33K, 44K, and most recently, the previous long run was 66K. I plan meticulously until my body tells me it’s ready.

9 January 2021 “Accessibility Is Freedom” and “Infrastructure Thailand”, as civilian participants, joined with Bangkok Metropolitan Administrator (BMA) spearheaded by its young and visionary spokesman, Khun Earth (Mr. Pongsakorn Kwanmuang). We explored by foots throughout the vibrant Asoke Intersection, the heart and busiest part of this area. The agenda was how to design streets so that people of all ages and physical conditions could make a perfectly safe and convenient crossing. Asoke Intersection has been a place of our movements for many times. So we quite have an insights and practical recommendations to share. Detail what we’ve done plan:

9 November 2020 The survey was led by the deputy director of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s Department of Public Works and joined by relevant agencies and organisations including Accessibility Is Freedom, T4A, FD and Bangkok Bus Club. This was some of my talk for students that touched me heartfully during my special lecture on Inclusive Design at DBTM, Thammasat University. During the lecture, We did an experiment illustrating that what would it look, and feel, like to be a disabled. All students were required to perform like in a particular kind of disability such as being blinded and being on wheelchair.

26 September 2020 At Victory Monument, I brought these young students to the ground to give an interview about the rights and equality in getting access. I also provided personal advice from my firsthand experiences. These youths, I admitted, were heavily vibrant and full of creativity. What a fantastic day.

This morning my cousin sent me a picture depicting a scene of my hometown in countryside. I was so enthusiastic to go back but found no proper time to do so due to heavy work overload here.😭 When I was a teenager I performed as a guitarist in a local band.
