An incoming call from an unknown number striking my phone on the table nearby. “Hello, is that Mr. Saba?”, asked a caller. “Yes, it’s me. Whom am I speaking with?”, I responded back to an unknown number. “Well, I came across to watch your video about a stairlift. I think it’s really good and I’d like to ask more for your opinions…” The caller stated his want and unveiled that he’s a manager at the Stock Exchange of Thailand Building. The place was currently trying to upgrade accessible facilities and also looking for suitable stairlift options.

Accessibility Is Freedom Fundraising 2018

The “Accessibility Is Freedom Fundraising” project by Khun Awn who initiated this idea on year 2017 and 2018 was the 2nd anniversary. It’s such a thoughtful and lovely day where the gathering of supporters cherishes. The voluntary contribution of money so far accounts for 54,270 THB, plus 50 AUD. Our job is to speak loudly, and most importantly to ‘Speak the Truth’

Yesterday, we had a chance to show those international reporters both the MRT and BTS stations. I started our conversations with “I am concerned about Thailand’s big picture” and gave a scenario “Mr. Sam who is in a wheelchair and came to Thailand and faced several inconveniences due to the lack of facilities for disabled people. What impressions would he convey back home, about Thailand?” We started our journey from Su-wan-na-phum Thailand International Airport by taking the ARL, then the MRT and finished the journey at A-sok Train Station which is in Bangkok’s Central Business District.

I would like to stress that it is not as easy as it might seem for me to be able to reach to this point. I had to overcome many struggles with highly limited resources, especially financial budget. I don’t want to shine as a superstar or act like a leading hero. I’m an ordinary man like you guys who just want to see a better society for everyone. This dream is something much bigger than me.
