It all began when the students contacted me via this FB Page and asked some information and insight for conducting their university project, assigned by their lecturer. Fortunately, the lecturer was already part of our Transportations for All (T4A) community. When we got to know what was going on, the coordination went beyond smoothly. IDAT4A team join the pre-meeting with IDA’s member for SDGs for PWDs. I presented accessibilities transportation outlook for Thailand to everyone. The main issue was, we pushed the transportation accessibilities as the main issue to follow and focus on for Thailand development. I don’t feel alright when I talk about our own country. [Japan metro train test] Japan Metro Train Survey Since last year, on our private trip purposely to test all accessibility including services. What I have learned, the Japan transportation system designed based on the capacity of people in the small city. If you go there within a peak time, you will never be believed how many people are traveling.

MRT Phet-cha-bu-ri Station, besides the insufficiency of elevators from the ground floor, the ticketing floor and the platform floor are also found nowhere for its existence. Normal-condition people are criticizing that using escalator make them a bit detour and that they’re unwillingly and unlikely to use it. Now let’s take a perspective from PWDs when we have to just get on the train. I, on my wheelchair, have to go to another side of the road and, unwanted, require asking a staff for accompanying. While we were having an interview. Martin asked me for help how could he goes up to A-soke BTS station. ‘A lot problem…’, he was telling us. Well yes, just like what we’re talking for long. I asked Martin, ‘out of five’ / how happy he is for using the Bangkok metro train system.

“Good infrastructures and facilities are fundamental requirement necessary to be built for everyone.”, said Manit, a campaigner for PWDs’ right. He strongly confirms that it is government’s duty to provide public services for everybody in the society with equality and justice.

The BTS first 4 ElevatorsAfter opening ceremony with Governor of Bangkok and his team, I went to test this brand-new BTS’s elevator. Accidentally, I met a foreign family with a baby in stroller at the platform floor so we had some conversation then. I told them that today was the first day for the lift’s operation. They were so friendly and I didn’t forget to take a picture with them. Their smiles were beautiful and I wanted to share it with all of you.

During Sunday afternoon at Mega Bang-na, a huge department store near my home. I often visit here to have a walk and explore some interesting things. At this time, there was so crowded with people. What I had seen was very impressive and touched my heart. There were many diverse groups of families having a tour here on wheelchairs. Some had grandma accompanying by her lovely granddaughter. Seacon Srinakarindra One of the best ranking on the accessible facilities on our board since for a long time. I went there 2 days ago, at the new car park building lower floor there were cars were fully parked. I went up to the higher floor to find a free space. Since from the beginning, I’ve never touched the one are doing fine instead I always cheering up them. I saw they’re been doing a very good job, provided a very good priority parking and facilities.
