Suggestion: 1. All individuals, including students and staff whose physical capabilities may change over time. 2. The physical infrastructure of all schools must provide at least the basic accessibilities law. 3. Additionally, access to the curriculum and teaching methods should be developed in tandem.

Equal access to educational is a key to independent self-development and a major driving force in society and the country. During the last few years, we have been pushing work to promote equal access to educational. Surveying the facilities at Chulalongkorn University with undergraduate students, we have been running “ChulaWalk” projects together. And on the same time, the university executive board currently has policies and funding for improving the university’s environment.

Situation of people with disabilities in Thailand that has been going on for many generations. People with disabilities also have difficulty leaving their homes, public spaces and transportation, buildings and premises are still accessible ‘not good enough’. Let’s think about the school we used to go to every day, and ask yourself: ‘Suppose we have to sit in a wheelchair, we can’t see, or we lost the hearing / how do we go to school?’

The number of registered PWDs in Thailand accounts roughly about 2 million people. Among this, I’ve selected some interesting fact, and one that raises a question, about PWDs’ educational level to share with you. What do you think? No doubt, education is a key factor, and gateway, to one’s pursue of quality life. We must help each other. Help rebuild our city with more equality and accessibility.
